rum ball recipe
 Rum Ball Recipe
Rum balls...I promise, you can't eat just one.

Ingredients ~
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 - 6 oz. package (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3 Tbls. corn syrup
1/3 cup light rum
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 cup finely chopped pecans
2 1/2 cups Nilla wafer crumbs
1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating

Put evaporated milk, chocolate and syrup in saucepan. Cook over low heat until chocolate melts.

Remove from heat and add rum and 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar.

Note ~ Measure the 1/2 cup powder sugar first and then sift.

Stir until smooth. Add Nilla wafer crumbs a little at a time. Let stand at room temperature until cool. (approx. 30 minutes)

Wet hands and shape in to 1 1/2" balls.

 Roll in powdered sugar.

Chill at least one hour in refrigerator.
Take out 30 minutes before serving.

We tripled the recipe today to split up the goods. They go quickly!

Oh and you may not want to eat and drive! Be safe this holiday season.
