The end of the school year was very busy for me, as I'm sure it was for many of you. First of all, Jackson graduated from 5th grade. I can't believe he is going to middle school this fall and already has girls texting him. (TOOOO WEIRD)
Are you like me in that you are never in photos because you're always the one taking the picture?

Secondly, if you have read this blog before, you know that my boys are big into baseball. The end of the school year also means the end of the regular baseball season and the start of playoffs. With both boys on different teams, we are at practices or games every day of the week. Although Jackson's team barely missed going to the City Little League Tournament, another team asked him to play with them. Right now his team is one of four left in the tournament and if we don't get rained out again, they will play in the semi-final game tonight. So excited!!!! Poor Gage missed his 2nd round playoff game because of a stomach virus and ended up in the hospital for two days. His team lost so his season ended abruptly. I felt so sorry for him so we took a little mini vacay to Horseshoe Bay to make it all better.

There's my Jackson #34 on the left. He was the starting pitcher last game and I was a nervous wreck! It was alot of pressure to have the game depend on him when he hasn't played with this team all season. He managed to pull it out with 8 strike outs and two put outs in 3 1/2 innings. Sorry ~ I'm being the bragging mom right now but I was so proud of him. That is something he will remember forever. What a great experience no matter how the next two games unfold.

As you can see, sports are a big deal in this family. In addition to supporting the boys baseball teams we have been busy watching our San Antonio Spurs make their way into the NBA Finals. If you haven't noticed they are up 2 games to 1 in the Finals against Miami. We were fortunate enough to have tickets to the last game and the Spurs were on fire. I thought the fans were going to bring down the SBC center. It was so loud!!!!
Now that school is out and baseball and basketball seasons are winding down, I'm looking forward to a great summer full of beach and lake trips, movies, cookouts, sleeping late, swimming, fireworks and all that fun stuff, maybe with a few decorating projects thrown in here and there. What are your plans this summer?
